We began the Vidhava Fund in response to the overwhelming reports we received of women with young dependent children suddenly finding themselves without the support of their husbands. The economic landscape in India lacks a public funded safety net and friends and family of the widows have limited resources to share.

This cruel reality leaves a widow to shoulder financial responsibility as she navigates intense grief. Our goal at the Vidhava Fund is to come alongside the widow by providing her with financial support, access to grief counselling and long-term skills-based training.
